Architecture
365 Marketing Technologies’ software system is a new, J2EE-based enterprise software, developed specifically for the automotive industry, that accelerates the acquisition, development, and deployment of e-mail-based marketing programs. 365 enables cost-effective program development through component re-use and real-time, data-aggregated reporting and integrated marketing through secure pooling of data across all system components.

Web Server and Application Server
The 365 software is built on Sun Microsystems’ Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE). J2EE is a modern, robust, and proven technology platform. Our Java-based system maximizes Java’s strengths, which include a strong security model, the ability to run the same code on multiple operating systems, and the ability to quickly add functionality. 365 uses Resin as the Web server and application server. Resin is a J2EE application server that offers the highest quality as well as the ability to load balance and scale up to our site’s needs. Resin is used by such companies as eBay, PetsMart.com, and the American Red Cross.

Database Server
MySQL is the database engine that stores all data for the 365 applications. MySQL is an industrial-strength database that outperforms both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, and it provides the flexibility of running on either a Linux or Windows system. The MySQL database engine operates in a very small memory footprint, utilizing a small amount of hardware resources while providing incredible speed.

E-mail Server
A key component of the 365 platform is the JAMES enterprise e-mail server. JAMES is a product of the Apache Software Foundation and is written in Java, which allows it to run in numerous environments. The architecture of JAMES and the 365 application allows the outbound e-mail load to rapidly expand without compromising speed or stability.

Scalability & Performance
Because the entire 365 system is built using J2EE technologies and utilizes a Java application server, the system can easily scale up to the needs of our customers. Such scalability occurs with little or no effort and is invisible to the customer.

Data Center Security & Support
The 365 servers are located in the Rackspace.com national data center in San Antonio, Texas. This facility is a world-class data center, providing redundant OC-3 fiber optic connections to the Internet backbone, redundant power systems, and support personnel available by phone on a 24x7x365 basis. The data center has restricted all access to the servers to its top-level support engineers.
